Sangha Saturdays
April 5 - June 7, 2025
We welcome you to Samye on Saturdays! This spring, we invite you to a day of meditation, community, and study, open to all—whether you’re new to the practice or looking to deepen your connection with the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Our day begins at 11 am with a community meditation session, Cultivating Awareness, suited for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Each session includes brief instruction followed by a meditation period, offering a chance to cultivate mindfulness and inner stillness within a supportive group setting.
After meditation, those who wish may join in a potluck lunch, sharing food and conversation with like-minded individuals. The afternoon provides time to relax and enjoy the beautiful land at Samye, offering a space for reflection and connection.
At 3 pm, we gather for Exploring the Dharma, a study group focused on the profound teachings of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. This season, we will explore The Jewel Ornament of Liberation by Gampopa, guided by a series of teachings from Phakchok Rinpoche. Each session includes a brief group practice of The Treasury of Blessings, a recorded teaching from Rinpoche, and a guided discussion. Participants are encouraged to read the weekly chapter and bring insights or questions to share.
Both the meditation and Dharma discussion classes will be offered in person at Samye and via Zoom for those who wish to join remotely.
Whether you participate in person or online, for meditation, study, or the full day’s experience, we welcome you to cultivate awareness, wisdom, and community with us at Samye.
